The property was owned at the time by David and Frederick Barclay through their company Ellerman Investments. Following the hotel’s closure in December 2007, J.B. Pastor & Fils undertook a major transformation between 2007 and 2010 to convert the building into a high-end residential residence. This complete renovation modernized the spaces while preserving the iconic character of the tower.
